This dad’s app gives kids with autism the words they need
A travel industry veteran, Vincent John Rocha pivoted to speech tech after his son Noah was diagnosed with autism. He built Mylo Speech Buddy, a Duolingo-style app that helps children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and speech delays build vocabulary through guided games and tools for parents. In 2025, the app had 94,000 downloads in over 80 countries and plans to expand to offer Arabic, accented English and other Southeast Asian languages.
