Vincent Chong Sy Feng

Vincent Chong is president and group CEO of ST Engineering, one of Asia’s largest integrated defence and engineering groups, where he leads efforts to redefine the boundaries of aerospace, defence, and smart technology innovation. Appointed to the top role in 2016, he has been instrumental in transforming the homegrown giant into a global leader in technology-driven solutions.

A former ExxonMobil executive, Chong joined ST Engineering in 2014 and rose swiftly through senior leadership roles—including deputy CEO for corporate development and president of strategic plans and business development at ST Aerospace. Today, he oversees a global workforce, delivering integrated solutions across aerospace, smart city systems, cybersecurity, and public safety.

Under his leadership, ST Engineering achieved a record S$11.28 billion (US$8.67 billion) in revenue in 2024, driven by robust performance in its Defence and Public Security segment, which contributed 44 per cent of total revenue in 2024, and continued expansion in international markets.

Chong has sharpened the group’s innovation focus through initiatives such as Innosparks, an engineering-focused incubator, and a US$150 million corporate venture capital fund investing in transformative startups across emerging tech sectors.

He has also led efforts in sustainability, digital transformation, and advanced manufacturing, reinforcing ST Engineering’s relevance in a rapidly shifting geopolitical and technological landscape.
