Vicky Cheng has marked his place as one of Hong Kong’s leading gastronomic innovators with his critically acclaimed restaurant, Vea—named restaurant of the year at the 2024 Tatler’s Best of Asia awards—which specialises in French Chinese fusion dishes. Cheng himself was named Chef of the Year at the Tatler Dining Awards Hong Kong & Macau 2024, while Wing earned Restaurant of the Year at Tatler’s Best of Asia awards.
In 2021, Cheng launched the similarly lauded Wing, a showcase of his reinterpretation of Chinese cuisine. In 2024, he also opened the doors to Medora, which focuses on Western comfort food; and Liz & Tori, an artisanal gelato shop inspired by his daughters. Later that year, he expanded overseas, opening K by Vicky Cheng in Bangkok.
