The ‘unkabogable’ icon continues to conquer screens, stages and hearts while breaking barriers for the LGBTQIA+ community

Born Jose Marie Borja Viceral in Manila, Vice Ganda began her journey performing at Manila’s comedy bars in the late 1990s before rising to national fame as a co-host of It’s Showtime and the star of the 2010 blockbuster Petrang Kabayo. Known for her sharp wit, flamboyant humour and fearless individuality, Vice became one of the Philippines’ most influential entertainers—headlining box-office hits, staging sold-out concerts and building an empire with her beauty brand, Vice Cosmetics.

In 2025, she reached new heights in her storied career with a string of prestigious accolades. For her dramatic turn as Bambi in And the Breadwinner Is..., Vice won her first-ever FAMAS Best Actor award—making history as the first member of the LGBTQIA+ community to receive the honour. The film also earned her the Best Film Artist Award and Film of the Year at the Platinum Stallion National Media Awards.

Her influence extended beyond cinema: she was named the Most Trusted Entertainment and Variety Show Presenter at the Reader’s Digest Trusted Brand 2025 Awards, received the Box Office Hero Award at the 8th EDDYS, and was inducted into the Influencer Hall of Fame for Entertainment & Social Impact.

Through her humour, heart and humanity, Vice Ganda continues to redefine stardom—proving that authenticity, above all, is the ultimate punchline.
