Writer Veeraporn Nitiprapha is the first woman to receive the prestigious SEA Write Award twice, first doing so in 2015 with the novel Saiduean Ta Bod Nai Khaowongkot (ไส้เดือนตาบอดในเขาวงกต or Blind Earthworms in a Labyrinth); her second award came in 2018 for Memories of the Memories of the Memories of the Black Rose Cat (Phutthasakkarat Asadong Kub Song Jam Khong Song Jam Khong Maew Kularb Dam พุทธศักราชอัสดงกับทรงจำของทรงจำของแมวกุหลาบดำ). She continues to produce literary works consistently, and organises writing workshops.
