“Confidence is key!” This sentiment informs Vatanika’s personal style, which she channels into her designs; she wants to make women feel sexy by confidently embracing their curves. Born into the fashion business, it was inevitable that the style maven wouldn’t stray far from a sartorial calling. Vatanika grew up admiring her grandmother, who instilled a sense of style in her at a very young age. But it was not until she moved to London to continue her studies at Central Saint Martins and the London College of Fashion that she finally found her true self. After her sojourn abroad, Vatanika returned to Thailand and launched her eponymous label in 2011, all the while becoming a fixture on the red carpet herself. Part of a group of young blood Thai designers, her brand has extend beyond the local market and garnered international fanfare from celebrities, including supermodel Cara Delevingne and award-winning actress Taraji P Henson. She is thinking of launching her own Youtube channel.
