An architect by training, Trihatma Haliman has built malls, hotels and residential complexes all over the country as CEO of the leading property development company in Indonesia. Agung Podomoro Group was founded by his father Anton Haliman in 1969, and it has been a mainstay in the industry for more than 40 years.

Trihatma Haliman joined the company in 1983, after moving back home after his studies in Germany. He succeeded his father as CEO three years later. The group’s extensive portfolio includes the “superblock” Pomodoro City, a 22-hectare strip in Jakarta that includes 11 apartment towers, two malls and a five-star hotel, which has been lauded as one of the most accomplished developments in the country.

Over the past decade, the group’s body of work—principally in Jakarta but also extending to Medan, Bali and Borneo—has grown yet further with around 60 properties, mainly residential projects as well as neighbourhood malls, hotels and office buildings.
