Tran Viet Hung

Tran Viet Hung, a recipient of the prestigious VEF scholarship from the US government, earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Iowa (United States). He is the founder of Got It, an AI startup based in Silicon Valley known for developing intelligent educational platforms such as PhotoStudy, MathGPT, and ExcelChat.

Beyond his commercial success, Dr. Hùng founded the non-profit STEAM for Vietnam to popularize STEAM education for children nationwide. Building on this momentum, he more recently initiated the non-profit AI for Vietnam, which aims to bridge AI research, education, and its practical application within the country.

In late 2025, he played a key role in launching the ViGen project, a strategic collaboration between Meta, the National Innovation Center (NIC), and AI for Vietnam. The initiative's central objective is to elevate Vietnam’s national AI capacity.
