Tran Thu Ha

Born in 1977 in Hanoi into an artistic family, Ha Tran is the daughter of People's Artist Tran Hieu and Meritorious Teacher Vu Thuy Huyen, and the niece of musician Tran Tien. This solid musical foundation helped her develop an independent artistic personality early on. Although not possessing a naturally prominent voice, she persistently trained her technique and perfected her style through her studies at the Hanoi Conservatory of Music, graduating in 2000.

Since officially embarking on her singing career in 1997, Ha Tran quickly established her name through compositions by Duong Thu, Bao Chan, Ngoc Chau, and Tran Tien. The album Awaken the Spring, sung with Bang Kieu, initiated a series of successful projects, followed by “You Return Pure” (1999) – a product that showcased her clear voice, once likened by musician Trinh Cong Son to "the voice of an angel." A major turning point in her career was the album “Eclipse” (2001), a collaboration with Ngoc Dai, Do Bao, and Vi Thuy Linh. With its experimental structure and novel musical language, this work is considered a breakthrough milestone for Vietnamese music in the early 21st century.

Ha Tran has received the Dedication Music Award four times, all in the Album of the Year category, among many other prestigious awards. In 2022, she gained new appeal when she transformed into the Fire Phoenix on The Masked Singer Vietnam, winning the Runner-up title and expanding her audience to younger listeners. In 2025, she continues to affirm her artistic form by contributing to the debut album of musician Do Hoang Long.
