Tran Mai Anh

Born to esteemed journalist Tran Mai Hanh and celebrated poet Bui Kim Anh, Tran Mai Anh has crafted a legacy that extends far beyond her illustrious lineage. In 2007, following meticulous legal proceedings, she embraced the role of adoptive mother to Thien Nhan—a young boy discovered abandoned in a Quang Ninh forest—bestowing upon him the boundless love normally reserved for one’s own flesh and blood.

With characteristic determination, Tran established the “Thien Nhan and Friends” initiative under the auspices of the Asia Injury Prevention Foundation, championing free surgical interventions for children suffering from congenital abnormalities. Her compassionate vision extends further as a founding member of the Sesame Seed Fund, where she arranges sophisticated auction events and captivating musical soirées to generate capital for the most vulnerable members of society.

To date, both “Thien Nhan and Friends” and the Sesame Seed Fund have transformed countless lives within disadvantaged communities, whilst disseminating a profoundly humanistic message of unconditional love and generosity—values cherished by the most distinguished echelons of society.
