A pioneering entrepreneur in the steel industry, who built Hoa Phat into Vietnam's leading industrial manufacturing group.

Mr. Tran Dinh Long was born on February 22, 1961, in Thanh Mien, Hai Duong province. After graduating from the National Economics University in 1986 with a major in Economics, he began his business career and quickly affirmed his leadership capacity.

In 1992, he co-founded Hoa Phat Equipment and Accessories Co., Ltd. with his close friend Tran Tuan Duong, serving as Chairman of the Members' Council and CEO. From 1996 to 2005, he continued to hold the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors at various companies within the Hoa Phat group, laying the foundation for the subsequent formation and development of the conglomerate.

In 2007, Hoa Phat Group was officially established, marking a strong transformation for the business. Under his leadership, Hoa Phat became the largest steel producer in Vietnam, while also expanding into real estate, agriculture, and manufacturing industries. In 2021, the group recorded nearly 38.9 trillion VND in revenue and 10.35 trillion VND in profit in just the first nine months.

Thanks to these outstanding achievements, Mr. Tran Dinh Long became one of the wealthiest entrepreneurs in Vietnam, with an estimated net worth of $2.2 billion (as of 2020).
