For Ting Fang Lin, chairman of CMP Group, a good sport makes an excellent leader

The chairman of CMP Group is a health buff who offers bonuses and gifts to employees who participate in races. As a member of the biathlon national team in his youth, Ting Fang was accepted to UC Berkeley where he studied engineering. In 2011, he served as the head of the Taiwanese delegation to the Asian Winter Games. He took over as chairman of CMP five years ago after retiring from Sanlian Technology, where he worked for 40 years. Sanlian was founded by Lin’s father, while CMP was founded by his uncle, Ming Xian Ho. CMP Group is a manufacturer of high-end precision parts that expanded into land development and hospitality, establishing a reputation with the InterContinental, the residential apartments at Daan Forest Park, and the cultural site known as CMP Village. In 2020, Lin was awarded the K.T. Lee Administration medal by the Chinese Management Association.
