Tina Keng

Tina Keng, one of Taiwan’s leading art dealers, continues to elevate the Asian art market

Profile

The Tina Keng Gallery is one of Taiwan’s and China’s foremost purveyors of modern and contemporary Chinese art. Opened in 2009, the gallery has its roots in the Lin & Keng Gallery, where Tina Keng began promoting the work of Asian classical masters such as Sanyu, Yun Gee, and Wou-ki Zao. Branching out on her own after 17 years, Keng continued to focus on nurturing Taiwanese talent and specializing in the sale of top-quality art. Her gallery is a constant presence in international fairs like Frieze and Art Basel and regional ones like Taipei Dangdai, the Taipei Biennale, and Art Shanghai.

Keng’s daughter Shelly Wu likewise opened her own gallery after learning the ropes from her mother. While the Tina Keng Gallery is positioned with the modern classics, Wu’s TKG+ is at the vanguard of new Taiwanese art; the two galleries work together in driving the Taiwanese art scene to international prominence.
