Since he was a young lad, Timo Tjahjanto always wanted to become a director. During his studies in Sydney, he met Kimo Stamboel (another Gen T. listee) and the duo formed The Mo Brothers, who have been responsible for cult horror films such as “Macabre” (2010) and “Killers” (2015). When not directing with Kimo, this doctor’s son has also ventured into solo directing as seen in Hollywood horror movies like “The ABCs of Death” (2013) and “V/H/S/2” (2013). This year, Timo Tjahjanto stepped away from psychological thrillers to make the action film “The Night Comes for Us”, which he wrote and directed. It was released in October 2018 on Netflix. Timo hopes to explore crime, drugs and gun smuggling, accompanied by tightly choreographed martial art sequences in a South East Asian setting.
