Long gone are the days when golf in Hong Kong was mostly used as a pretext to broker deals. The city’s men, and especially women, are taking the game to new heights. Take Tuen Mun native Tiffany Chan, for example. The golfing talent extraordinaire has represented Hong Kong in the 2012 and 2014 World Amateur Championship and the 2014 Asian Games, and competed at the 2016 Olympics. In 2017, she finished runner-up at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament, a result that earns her Priority List Category 12 status for the 2018 LPGA season. In other words, Tiffany is ready for the big time as she becomes the first ever Hong Kong golfer to qualify for the top-level LGPA tour.
