Multitalented Tiara Jacquelina, head of Enfiniti Academy, has taken local theatre international

Puan Sri Tiara Jacquelina is a multi-hyphenate Malaysian artist who has graced the stage, silver screen and TV, and is an award-winning producer and director as well as a successful entrepreneur.

Tiara made her debut as an actress in the late ’80s, winning her first Best Actress nod at the 1995 Malaysian Film Festival, Malaysia’s equivalent of the Academy Awards, for her role in Ringgit Kasorrga. She shot to fame with her leading role in the Malaysian epic Puteri Gunung Ledang, which was the first Malaysian film to be shortlisted for Best Foreign Language Film at the Academy Awards and to premiere at the Venice Film Festival. She later staged it as a musical, which helped her launch a successful theatre career, notably as an award-winning producer. In 2018, she made her directorial debut with OlaBola: The Musical, an adaptation of the movie about the Malaysian national football team’s historic journey to the 1980 Summer Olympics.

In 2026, Tiara directed a landmark reimagining of Puteri Gunung Ledang The Musical, bringing the iconic Malaysian production back to the stage nearly two decades after its debut with a new generation of performers, including Aisha Retno as Gusti Puteri alongside Aqasha returning as Hang Tuah. The production achieved an unprecedented box-office milestone, selling out its entire season within two hours with 22,000 patrons in the digital queue. Concurrently, Enfiniti’s multi-sensory night walk, Dream Forest Langkawi, won Gold at the Asean Digital Awards 2026, adding a major international accolade to her creative-tourism portfolio.

To cultivate the performing arts scene, Tiara established Enfiniti Academy, which specialises in theatre training, stage production and creative education. Beyond the stage, she pioneered luxury eco-tourism as the founder of Tiarasa Escapes in Janda Baik, establishing an expansive creative-tourism ecosystem that integrates live performance, interactive digital storytelling and sustainable hospitality.
