Datuk Tengku Muhammad Taufik Tengku Aziz is the newly appointed president and group CEO of Petronas. Known as a finance specialist, he has served a range of positions in that sphere including Petronas' executive vice president of finance.

A Petronas scholar, Muhammad Taufik has built a long career in oil and gas, spending the bulk of it in Petronas itself. He left Petronas to join Tanjong plc before taking on the position of chief financial officer at SapuraKencana Petroleum (now known as Sapura Energy Bhd). He was also a partner in accounting firm PwC Malaysia.

Muhammad Taufik returned to Petronas in 2018.
