Tanyatip Chearavanont

There’s being interested in art and then there’s owning a Dali, which is what Tanyatip, an avid collector, can show as testament to her interest. Aside from that passion, Tanyatip is an active philanthropist, one who, in spite of her grandfather’s wealth as one of Thailand’s richest men, hasn’t been afraid to roll up her sleeves and get involved. Her family's NGO, the Build Foundation, is a volunteer-based organisation that builds schools in northern Thailand. Since its inception in 2005, it has collaborated with other charitable groups in the region to improve access to education, with nine schools already built thanks to their efforts—and more in the pipeline.
