Tanapong Chirapanidchakul is CEO of Tanachira Retail Corporation (TAN), a fashion and lifestyle retail business that is the Thai importer and distributor of foreign brands Marimekko, Pandora and Cath Kidston to Thailand. The company also owns HARNN, a line of spa and wellness products, and Vuudh, an aromatherapy brand.
In 2023, Tanachira achieved two milestones: in October, the company was listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand (ticker symbol: TAN), and in December it opened two Gordon Ramsay restaurants, Bread Street Kitchen and Street Pizza, marking its first forays into F&B.
Tanapong Chirapanidchakul was always interested in the business world, despite graduating with a degree in Engineering from the University of Melbourne. He later pursued an master's in marketing program (MIM) at Thammasat University and an MBA from Duke University in the US. Tanapong established Tanachira Retail Corporation in 2010, with Pandora as its first brand. Pandora's success led him to expand the company's portfolio, focusing on urban lifestyle brands. TAN brought in Marimekko in 2015, followed by Cath Kidston in 2017. The company acquired Thai brand HARNN in 2018, allowing them to distribute their products in Thailand and overseas to Japan, Singapore and Vietnam.
