Sutima Sucharitakul, or Junko, is a name you can’t leave out of the conversation. Since the beginning, it has been the intention of Nova Contemporary gallery’s owner to give promising Thai artists the local and global recognition they deserve. This year, as Nova Contemporary turns two, Junko raises the bar by successfully securing prestigious opportunities for her artists to exhibit their talent to the world. By the end of 2018, Nova will be represented at the 9th Asia Pacific Triennial in Queensland, and the groundbreaking Bangkok Art Biennale, which is launching for the first time this October with an impressive roster of Thai and international artists and galleries. She has also appeared on Tatler’s 2017 list.
