Being born into a family of entrepreneurs, Susanti Tio is always fascinated with the idea of entrepreneurship. Her father often would take her to look at different aspects of his business, and Susanti would also help out with various tasks. Her journey in the coal industry started from wanting to help a friend through small-scale trading, which gradually increased thanks to Susanti's capability and trustworthiness. To date, she owns two mines in Kalimantan and cares for the communities and nature there, especially during the pandemic. Understanding the finite nature of coal, Susanti is diversifying her business. She has expanded her entrepreneurial empire into a tea plantation business located in Garut and Sukabumi area. Susanti also collaborates with small and medium enterprises to promote economic growth.
