Surendra Rosha is the co-chief executive of HSBC Asia-Pacific and a group managing director of HSBC, roles he fills alongside David Liao. The pair took over following the retirement of Peter Wong, who has become the bank’s non-executive chairman.

Rosha has worked for the company for three decades, beginning his career in India in foreign exchange trading and eventually becoming head of sales, treasury and capital markets in the country. He then moved to Indonesia as head of global markets in 2005, and two years later moved to Hong Kong as head of the Asia Pacific institutional sales team, subsequently becoming Asia-Pacific of the bank’s financial institutions group. He moved back to India as chief executive there in 2018, before moving into his current Hong Kong-based position in 2021.
