Previously an offline events company, Sum Wong’s company EventX turned a challenge into an opportunity by pivoting to virtual events a couple of months after the pandemic broke out, tripling its profits as a result. Its signature SaaS product has been used for more than 5,000 events in 135 countries by clients including Apple and Amazon. The company raised US$18 million Series B funding across 2021 and 2022.
