Steve Chiu took a bold leap by heading to Australia to begin his culinary career at Attica, the country’s top restaurant, despite limited proficiency in English. Now back in Taipei, he leads Xiang Se, a restaurant nestled in a beautifully repurposed old residence. With his passionate team, Steve draws on his Michelin-starred kitchen experience and deep connection to Taiwanese culture to craft seasonal menus that explore the potential of ingredients.
