Stephen Riady

Stephen Riady is the executive chairman and group chief executive officer of OUE Limited, a listed real estate and healthcare group based in Singapore.

In 2026, Riady steered OUE through strategic portfolio consolidation across commercial real estate, hospitality and healthcare. While the group navigated financial headwinds—recording a SG$114.6 million first-half net loss despite revenue rising 5.3 per cent to SG$308.3 million—he maintained recurring income stability via OUE REIT, whose commercial and hospitality portfolio stood at SG$6.1 billion at the end of 2025.

Beyond OUE, Riady holds key civic and institutional advisory roles. He serves as an honorary patron of the Securities Investors Association (Singapore), a global trustee of Asia Society, a member of the Advisory Council of the One Country Two Systems Research Institute and an advisory board member of the MIT Sloan School of Management. He is also a member of the Fujian provincial government’s Committee to Promote Economic Co-operation between Fujian and Hong Kong, founding honorary advisor of the University of Hong Kong Foundation for Education Development and Research and an honorary citizen of Shenzhen.

Riady was conferred the Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French government. He received the EY Asean Entrepreneurial Excellence Award 2018, the Strategic Investment Entrepreneur of the Year 2007, the Asia Society Southern California International Business Visionary Award and the Asean Entrepreneur of the Year Lifetime Achievement Award. In 2023, he was honoured with the Asia Game Changer Award by Asia Society, recognising his longstanding commitment to improving the lives of rural communities in Papua, Indonesia—becoming the first active global trustee of the organisation to receive the accolade.

He is a graduate of the University of Southern California and holds an MBA from Golden Gate University and an honorary Doctor of Business Administration from Edinburgh Napier University. He is also one of the first Honorary University Fellows installed by Hong Kong Baptist University.
