Stanley Tan is a Singaporean philanthropist, businessman, and civic leader whose life’s work has centred on building stronger communities and advancing strategic giving across Asia. As Principal of the Rumah Group and Director of its philanthropic arm, Rumah Foundation, he has spent over two decades bridging the worlds of enterprise and social impact.
He currently serves as Chairman of =DREAMS Singapore and the Asia Community Foundation, and as Co-founder of =DREAMS Asia and the Asia Philanthropy Circle. Beyond these roles, Stanley is CEO of Sedar Properties, Founder of the South Central Community Family Service Centre, a Board Member of Teach For All Inc., and an Honorary Advisor to the Asia New Zealand Foundation.
A pioneer in Singapore’s philanthropic sector, he has co-founded or chaired several major initiatives including the Asia Philanthropy Circle, The Hope Fund, and the MILK Fund. His earlier service includes leadership positions with the Singapore Red Cross Society, the National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre, and the Alola Foundation in Timor-Leste.
For his contributions, Stanley was appointed an Honorary Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit (2002) and received the Singapore National Day Award (2011). He has been commended by the Singapore Red Cross, the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports, and the National Council of Social Service for his longstanding commitment to humanitarian work.
