SlimV

Born Cao Van Vinh, SlimV is a classically trained musician who honed his craft at the National Academy of Music before carving out a career in electronic music. Quickly making a name for himself as both a DJ and producer, he has played a defining role in shaping Vietnam’s contemporary music scene.

His work is behind some of the country’s biggest hits, collaborating with top artists such as Son Tung M-TP, Soobin Hoang Son, Rhymastic, and Touliver. As a key producer for SpaceSpeakers—one of Vietnam’s pioneering collectives in hip-hop and EDM—he has been instrumental in pushing the boundaries of the genre.

Beyond the studio, SlimV commands the stage as a DJ, igniting crowds at international music events such as the Asia Song Festival in South Korea (2016), where he helped bring Vietnamese electronic music to a global audience. That same year, he competed in The Remix alongside Son Tung M-TP and Noo Phuoc Thinh, winning the championship title.

SlimV has also made his mark as a music director for reality television, most recently helming the 2024 show Anh Trai Vuot Ngan Cong Gai.
