The Collectors | A fixture in the scene for over 25 years, Sky Wang is a driving force behind Taiwan's skateboarding culture
Sky Wang is the face of the skateboarding community in Taiwan. Tanned skin, flowing hairstyle and unique tattoos all over his arms––underneath his rebellious look lies an entrepreneur dedicated to the development of Taiwan's skate subculture.
Sky is a board member of the Taiwan Skateboard Association and is the agent for workwear brand Dickies, which has brought in substantial revenue. Additionally, he is the owner of the 9CE skateboard shop and the bar Dr. Alcohol. Sky, who started skateboarding at the age of 16, has been deeply ingrained in street culture for over a quarter of century, and he is motivated by the goal to make the entire culture more enjoyable for everyone.
“I’ve been skateboarding for so long, and even if I’m not the strongest, as long as I can be remembered by everyone in this circle in the end, it’ll all be worthwhile.”
