Shinta Widjaja Kamdani is the CEO of Sintesa Group, being the second generation of the company. She oversees four core businesses of the holding company: consumer products, property, industrial products, and renewable energy. Her grandfather Oey Kim Tjiang started the family business from a rubber plantation, which then grew into a trading company Tigaraksa by her father, Johnny Widjaja. After finishing her study at Barnard College of Columbia University, Shinta started working at the family company as a general staff. She eventually made her way to the top and suggested a holding company to unite the company’s various business subsidiaries. Shinta has been three times listed in Forbes Asia's 50 Powerful Businesswomen, among other international awards. She is also the deputy chairwoman for international relations at the Indonesia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN). To give back to the community, she conducts mentoring programmes and initiates the Indonesia Business Coalition for Women Empowerment (IBCWE) and Angel Investment Network Indonesia (Angin).
