The daughter of two entertainers, Shila has made her own name as a singer and performer. She received her big break in Mainland China when she won the 2012 Asian Wave singing competition, launching herself as a Mandopop artist despite not previously speaking a word of Mandarin, and has since been nominated for the Weibo Starlight Awards. Now based in London, she sings in English, Malay, Mandarin, Cantonese, Hindi, Tamil, Spanish, Korean, Japanese and Italian.
