An innovative venture fund aimed at the maritime industry, Motion Ventures, co-founded by Shaun Hon in 2021, is unique in being backed by a consortium of global industry players including ship manager Wilhelmsen and port logistics operator HHLA. The $22 million fund has so far invested in startups including maritime operations automation platform Greywing, freight rate management platform Freightify and freight automation company Expedock.
