Commodities consultant, private investor
The Collectors | For Serena Luo, fashion is a playground for creativity and authenticity
As first impressions go, Serena Luo’s statuesque beauty is matched by her impeccable fashion sense. “Fashion is my armour,” she says. “It allows me to step into the world feeling confident and ready to conquer anything.” Luo is currently pursuing a degree in international relations while consulting in international commodities, a field she finds fascinating as it allows her to “connect with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds.”
Her passion for fashion began at a young age, having learned the power of intentional dressing from observing her mother’s effortless style. “I realised there was power in style when I noticed a shift in how people interacted with my mum. When she dressed with intention and confidence for work meetings and events, she commanded respect and immediate attention. On casual errands, however, she sometimes went unnoticed. It wasn’t about judging her comfort choices but about the realisation that style can be a powerful tool in how we want to be perceived in different situations,” says the avid collector of watches, mini bags and sunglasses—essentials she doesn’t leaves home without.
Beyond fashion, Luo’s interests extend to the arts. She enjoys photography, art, painting and playing the piano, showcasing her multifaceted personality and creative spirit.
