Sebastian Paredes

A seasoned banker with three decades of experience, Sebastian Paredes has led DBS Bank (Hong Kong) since September 2010 and, since 2023, has also overseen the group’s North Asia franchise covering Hong Kong, mainland China and Taiwan. His portfolio includes chairing DBS Bank (China) and serving on the Group Management Committee.

Before DBS, Paredes was president director of Indonesia’s Bank Danamon and spent around two decades with Citigroup across South America, Turkey and Sub-Saharan Africa. At DBS, he has guided the Hong Kong business through expansion and industry accolades, while anchoring regional integration across Greater China and Taiwan.
