The 1932 People’s Space Library, named for the year Thailand introduced democracy, serves as a reminder that freedom is nothing without knowledge. Saran Satchanon, who opened the library with Apinan Pattanasiri, Kittiwat Uengcharoen and Chanin Wongsr, has stocked this historical temple-turned- information nexus with controversial and even banned books, and made it free for all to access, to encourage reading and dialogue without boundaries.
