Sandy Wang, daughter of Yung-Ching Wang, founder of Formosa Plastics Group (FPG), joined the company in 1985. She became the director of its general management office in 1990 and took over the cleaning agent business of Formosa Petrochemical Corporation. In 2003, she developed Forte skincare products and established Formosa Biomedical Technology Corporation, where she now presides as chairman. Since developing a therapeutic vaccine for Alzheimer’s disease in 2013, FPG has been making strides in the field of new protein drugs.

In July 2022, Wang established Formosa Plastics Smart Energy Technology Corporation to accelerate the implementation of green energy in the fields of energy saving, energy storage, new energy, and recycling and reuse. Wang is determined to make Formosa Plastics carbon neutral 2050.
