Co-founder and CEO, Everstone Capital and Culinary Arts Group

Chief investor with an eye towards promising Indian and Southeast Asian companies, and a passionate foodie

Sameer Sain is the spirited co-founder and CEO of Singapore-based Everstone Group. Under his stewardship, the powerhouse investment firm has catapulted to the forefront of cross-border North America-to-Asia investments and domestic ventures in India and Southeast Asia. He is known for bringing the Burger King franchise to India in 2015.

The Group has a vast global footprint, comprising more than 350 employees across seven offices. Its assets under management amount to a staggering US$8 billion (S$10 billion), spanning sectors as diverse as private equity, real estate, credit, green infrastructure and venture capital. The Group is also one of India's largest developers and industrial warehousing giants through the IndoSpace brand.

Before Everstone, Sain’s 11-year tenure at Goldman Sachs earned him the role of Managing Director, where he steered the Investment Management Division. His academic path is no less impressive, marked by degrees from prestigious institutions like Sydenham College, the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Management.

Outside the world of finance, Sain’s zest for life shines through. He’s an enthusiastic globetrotter, a connoisseur of fine wines, and a true epicurean. As co-founder of Singapore’s Culinary Arts Group, he regularly pushes the envelope of gastronomic experiences with such concepts as the avant-garde grill Revolver, kaiseki restaurant Hamamoto, and contemporary Pacific restaurant Araya, the latter having opened in October 2023.
