Samantha Gunawan

After studying industrial engineering in the US, Samantha Gunawan realised her interest lay in agriculture. In 2015 she founded Blueboots Farm, an organic farm in Cijeruk, West Java, as both a sustainable food source and a viable job option for local farmers, employing 100 of them. The processing facility is on-site to minimise carbon footprint. To inspire young people to explore careers in agriculture, she hosts educational seminars on the farm and in Jakarta.
