You wouldn’t normally associate fermentation workshops with fashion, but Sacha is a man with an interest in both. During office hours, you’ll find him running the show at his mother’s eponymous resort-wear label, Marie France Van Damme. But dig a little deeper and you’ll find his real passion lies in a hidden valley in Clearwater Bay at his Perma Club, which he founded to promote sustainable lifestyle and design. A certified permaculture designer, Sacha oversees workshops and events that encourage participants to reconnect with nature—be those organic farming talks, group yoga sessions or sauerkraut fermentation workshops. With the tagline “Earth Care, People Share and Fair Share,” it’s hard not to want to jump on his bandwagon.
