For an artist who believes in slow but steady, committed work, Ryan sure has created prolifcally. His career highlights include participating in the Singapore Biennale 2016, Art Basel Hong Kong 2017, having collaborated with designer Joey Samson on the 2017 fundraiser Red Cross Gala, and, this year, exhibiting at the MAIIAM Contemporary Art Museum in Thailand, as well as the Biwako Biennale in Japan. A show at Ateneo Art Gallery’s new Areté , another in West Gallery, and group shows both here and abroad have and are keeping the sculptor busy. Ryan counts Nona Garcia, Kawayan de Guia, Gary-Ross Pastrana, Louie Cordero, and Geraldine Javier as fellow artists he greatly admires. "Artists who never let the hype get in the way of the work,” he shares.
