Since embarking on his entrepreneurial journey more than 15 years ago, Ang has co-founded and grown three start-ups. His most recent, Finology, is a fintech company founded in 2017 that specialises in seamless, end-to-end, digitally enabled financial and insurance solutions.

Finology includes Loanstreet, a personal finance-focused platform that helps users make better financial decisions and get the most from their money, and has served more than five million customers. It enables people to compare financial products like credit cards, personal loans, housing loans or home re-financing, and also apply for them without going to the bank. Finology also houses Loanplus, a mortgage pre-approval gateway that provides instant home-loan approvals catered to the real estate industry. It has also started offering insure-tech solutions and digital road tax renewal.

In 2021, Finology won the Seedstars World Competition, the largest start-up competition in emerging markets. This is not the first award-winning company under Ang’s belt. His other startups Wall Tailor and Buildscape that focus on innovative architectural and construction solutions have also won numerous accolades.

Ang is married to Dianna Lee, the deputy chairman of Country Heights Holdings Berhad and founder of bedding brand, Blanc Silk. The couple has four daughters.
