The magnate and philanthropist is building a better future through technology

Robert Coyuito was only 29 when he assumed leadership of Prudential Guarantee in 1982, after his father, Robert Coyuito Sr, passed away at the relatively young age of 58. The company itself was just a year old. Nevertheless, the younger Coyuito was able to grew the business into one off the largest non-life insurance companies in the country.

Prudential's portfolio now includes investments in energy exploration, securities and luxury cars. Currently, Coyuito Jr sits as chairman and CEO of Prudential Guarantee, and owns a stake in the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) as well as Oriental Petroleum and MInerals. His most high-profile venture would have to be PGA Cars, the distributor of luxury supercar brands like Audi, Porsche and Lamborghini.

Apart from his vast business interests, Coyiuto has also made investments of a different kind. The tycoon donated P60 million to the Roberto Coyiuto Jr Center for Integrated Technologies at the Fritz Pierre Tritz Institute-ERDA Tech campus in Batangas. He also established NGCP’s TECHKID: Computer laboratory Project, which has donated computer laboratories to host communities all over the country since its inception in 2017. As a firm believer in digital technology, Coyiuto is channeling his philanthropic efforts to invest in the future of this generation's youth.
