That journey of rebuilding from scratch gave him a profound understanding of the generational responsibility a company carries—and his mission evolved from simply "saving the company" to proving that traditional industries can become benchmark cases for global sustainable transformation.

Steeled by the turbulence of the global landscape in recent years, Richard has shifted his leadership approach: rather than charging to the front line to solve problems himself, he has stepped back to build a resilient system that allows the company to adapt and survive regardless of economic conditions or external shocks. Looking to the next decade, he is focused on the convergence of AI and heavy industry, actively positioning the company in carbon-neutral glass and AI-enabled factory operations. In the coming year, he will deepen his work in low-carbon kilns and capital markets—determined to show the world that legacy industries are not only here to stay, but can be a driving force at the heart of the new industrial age.
