Because she is the eldest of the third-generation Concepcions, it makes sense that Renna Hechanova-Angeles holds many responsibilities in her family’s many businesses. Mainly, she’s vice chairman of the board and treasurer of Concepcion Industrial Corporation (CIC), which is well-established as a provider of air-conditioning and refrigerators. She also fills roles in subsidiaries of CIC, such as Concepcion Durables, Inc. and the Concepcion-Carrier Air Conditioning Company. If that seems like a lot, that’s because it is—and yet Hechanova-Angeles manages to steer all these ships that together comprise a formidable fleet. But apart from filling all these important roles in the Concepcion empire, Hechanova-Angeles also advocates for the rights of children. She’s a member of the board of trustees of the Child Protection Network, a non-government organization that works toward the prevention and treatment of child abuse. “Abuse of any form, especially towards a child, should be put to an end,” Hechanova-Angeles has said. “I am one with CPN in ensuring a safe and secure environment for all children.”
