NEO’s leader drives green innovation, wellness and resilient urban spaces

As a true pioneer in sustainable development, the visionary CEO of NEO, Raymond Rufino, has firmly established his commitment to green real estate. Leading the developer and manager of seven exemplary office buildings in Bonifacio Global City (BGC)—which influenced the construction of numerous other office and residential buildings that now define BGC—he has steered NEO to become the first company globally to receive the EDGE Zero Carbon certification for its entire portfolio from the International Finance Corporation. This trailblazing commitment extends beyond green buildings; the portfolio is also the first in Southeast Asia to secure the WELL Health-Safety Seal, with all buildings awarded five-star certification under Building for Ecologically Responsive Design Excellence.

Rufino’s personal advocacy of sustainability and leadership guides his belief that “Business can and should be a force for good.” This ethos has led NEO to earn the Grand Award for Best Sustainability Report (Non-listed Company) at the Hong Kong ESG Reporting Awards, highlighting the company’s commitment to showing how existing buildings can be carbon neutral, people-centric and resilient.

As chairman of the Philippine Green Building Council and a member of the Urban Land Institute Philippines Advisory Board, Rufino’s influence is extensive. He seeks to be known as a leader who challenged and inspired others to lead with empathy, passion and authenticity, delivering impact that makes the world a better place for future generations. Rufino is currently focused on the Philippine Green Building Council's 20th edition of their flagship Building Green conference.
