Raymund Lum is head of a storied construction firm with a legacy of over eight decades

Raymond Lum has been the executive chairman of property development firm Lum Chang Holdings since 1984, growing the business over 40 years to its present position as one of Singapore’s best-regarded construction firms.

Among Lum Chang’s high-profile projects are Eurokars Group’s new corporate headquarters, as well as Tekka Place, Swettenham Luxury Bungalows in District 10 and Emerald Garden in District 1. The firm has also been involved in alteration works to St James Power Station, and architectural works at Bedok South station and tunnels for the Thomson-East Coast Line, among others.

Lum Chang was also notably awarded the contract for the construction of an arrival node, transport hub, nature-themed indoor attraction and resort as part of the Mandai rejuvenation project.

A Public Service Medal recipient, Lum was also the Honorary Consul-General of Ghana to Singapore until 2017. The holder of a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering degree from the University of London has served on the boards of the Singapore Trade Development Board, the Commercial & Industrial Security Corporation, the Singapore Police Association for National Servicemen and the Civil Defence Association for National Servicemen.
