The broadcast journalist and radio host was elected to the Philippine Senate in 2022

Starting his broadcasting career as a disc jockey in a local radio station in Puerto Princesa, Palawan, Raffy Tulfo made his first breakthrough when he became a newscaster for the People’s Television Network. From 1995 to 2002, he hosted the programme Philippines’ Most Wanted—a crime documentary that featured cases of abuse. Through his engaging and charismatic approach to settling disputes, Tulfo would be referred to as ‘Idol’ by fans of the show. This trend would continue as he transitioned to radio and social media—with his YouTube channel garnering over 28.5 million subscribers.

Elected as a senator in 2022, Tulfo’s efforts focus on the masses. He has filed multiple priority bills that protect workers and their families, such as the Wage Theft Law, Anti-Domestic Violence Act, Comprehensive Marital Infidelity Law, and Divorce Law. He is also the chairman of the Senate Committee on Energy, which calls for investigations into the rising electricity rates and rotational power outages experienced by Filipinos nationwide.

Amidst his social service, he still regularly attends his programs, Raffy Tulfo in Action and Wanted sa Radyo—cementing his status as one for the underprivileged and aggrieved. No problem is too small for Tulfo, who always opts to help those who come knocking on his door.
