Rachelle Ann Go-Spies

Theatre actress

Roles on Broadway and the West End have vaulted this performer to international success

How does one go from Eat Bulaga! to Hamilton? To find out, one can trace the career trajectory of Rachelle Ann Go, a Filipino singer and musical theatre actress who began with appearances in TV singing contests.

At the tender age of 11, Go made her television debut on GMA Network’s hit noontime variety show. Then, she joined several other singing competitions and music festivals, released five albums, and became a well-known singer in the Philippines.

By the 2010s, Go had become a well-known name in the industry and was also taking on acting roles in television dramas and musical theatre productions. Among her early roles was that of Jane, for a local theatre production of Tarzan, and Ariel, for The Little Mermaid. In 2014, Go landed the role of Gigi for the West End revival of Miss Saigon. Her international career took off quickly thereafter, as she went on to take roles in productions of Les Misérables, Jesus the Rock Opera, and the West End production of Hamilton, for which she played the role of Eliza Hamilton.
