Singapore-born, US-based Rachel Heng saw her 2018 debut novel Suicide Club picked up by major publishing houses Sceptre in the UK and Henry Holt & Co in the US. The literary science fiction book, which has been translated into 10 languages, is set in a dystopian near-future New York where immortality is becoming reality, but only for a certain section of society, who obsess over their health and genetic perfection.
