Mustika Ratu is a distinguished wellness empire that has been around since the 1970s. Its line of products highlights the use of local ingredients and is based on the wisdom of indigenous practices. It also owns and manages spas that utilise the rich holistic knowledge of traditional Indonesian beauty treatments.

Putri Kuswisnuwardhani oversees Mustika Ratu as CEO, which she took over from her mother Mooryati Soedibyo, the founder and pioneer behind the brand. Accordingly, Kuswisnuwardhani also now leads the Puteri Indonesia (literally “Princess Indonesia”) beauty pageant. It is the oldest beauty pageant in Indonesia, founded in 1992.

In 2011, Kuswisnuwardhani was chosen to serve among nine of President Joko Widodo’s Presidential Advisory Council because of her expertise and involvement in developing local culture-based industries. She was the only woman among the nine advisers.
