The hotelier, Proudputh, intends to create a “destination within a destination”, and lead the mixed-use entertainment development sector. The daughter of former Deputy Prime Minister, Poonpirom Liptapanlop, she has eschewed a career in politics. After earning degrees from Oxford and LSE, and a stint at McKinsey, she has taken the reins of her family’s 5-year-old real estate business. As executive director of Proud Real Estate, she is running it with great aplomb. She has developed Huahin as a holiday destination, starting with the InterContinental Hua Hin (winner of Asia’s Leading Luxury Coastal Resort Award) and adjacent BluPort complex shopping center. She followed with Vana Nava Hua Hin Water Park (winner of Leading Edge Award, the World Waterpark Association 2015, Top 10 Thailand Best Tourist Attractions 2015), with an adjacent Holiday Inn and Vana Nava Residence high-rise condominium. Finally, they have a sports center, True Arena Hua Hin. She is planning for a major push in Phuket. Her other project, high-end Park 24 condominium has just opened. She was named as Thailand’s Top 10 Developers at the BCI Asia Awards 2015, and one of the “Most Promising” entrepreneurs at the Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards (2016).
